Lurleen Ladd

Co-Founder/Visionary

Lurleen is a fair-skinned, blue-eyed 4th-generation Texan who

was successfully treated for squamous cell carcinoma in 2011. Because of this, Lurleen hopes to increase awareness of the serious effects of blistering sunburns experienced during childhood. Besides The Shade Project she also co-hosts the Dr. Dan Radio Show, juggles many creative projects—like singing and writing—and is a mother to 2 children and 3 dogs.

Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon who has seen far too much skin cancer. Committed to help prevent it, he has started a local sun safety dialogue with the Dr. Dan Radio Show. Dr. Ladd is a man of action, an energetic person with various interests and enjoys telling jokes. He also enjoys his life with his 2 children, 3 dogs and amazing wife.
